Registration

To enroll in the 2026–2027 school year, students must meet the following age requirements:

• Kindergarten: The child must be five (5) years old on or before December 31, 2026.
• Grade 1: The child must be six (6) years old on or before December 31, 2026.

For preschool enrollment, parents or guardians should contact the school administration directly for specific program requirements and availability.

Students cannot be registered until the required legal documentation confirming their name, date of birth, and legal status in Canada has been submitted.

Acceptable documents may include:

• Canadian birth certificate
• Canadian passport
• Canadian citizenship certificate
• Permanent Resident card or document
• Temporary resident or study permit
• Parent or guardian work permit
• Non-Canadian birth certificate or passport (must be accompanied by documentation confirming legal status in Canada)

If documentation such as a parent work permit is provided, it must be submitted together with the student’s birth certificate or passport.

In situations involving custody agreements or legal visitation restrictions, official legal documentation must also be provided.

Parents will be required to upload all required documents during the registration process.

New student enrollment is completed through the school’s online registration system.

Harmony Public Charter School’s admission policies reflect our vision and mission to build an Africentric learning community. Students are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis for Kindergarten through Grade 6. Should enrollment exceed available spaces, registrations will be placed on our waitlist and admitted according to the following official priority criteria:

1. Students with siblings currently attending the school or who have previously graduated.
2. Children of school employees.
3. First-come, first-serve to all other students.

Note: Students may be assessed during the application process to consider the best grade placement or tailored support program.

School transportation services are provided based on the student’s primary residential address and the school’s designated attendance areas.

To determine eligibility for school transportation, parents should provide their child’s primary home address during the registration process. The school administration will then confirm the assigned transportation arrangements and bus routes.

Transportation schedules, routes, and pick-up locations are communicated to families before the start of the school year. Requests submitted after the transportation planning deadline may be assigned to an existing bus stop depending on availability.

While we are committed to reducing economic barriers for families, certain optional activities, materials, extracurriculars, or extended programs may involve fees. Any applicable payments must be completed through the designated payment methods provided by the school.
